Tunbridge Wells-based H&D Wealth TW has taken on Director Gary Jefferies’ son as an apprentice.
Ross Jefferies started working for the firm, which is an appointed representative of H&D Wealth, this summer, with a view to becoming a chartered financial planner within six years.
He will start off in an administration and paraplanning position and will take his level four diploma in three years, followed by his level six exams three years after that.
Gary Jefferies said he was keen for his son to learn about financial planning ‘the grass roots way’ with a focus on clients from the beginning.
Ross Jefferies said: ‘My favourite bit so far is meeting clients, face to face, and connecting with them, as well as learning the backbones of the decisions.’
Gary Jefferies said it was important for advice firms to encourage those under 30 to enter the profession.
