About Panoramic Wealth, a Financial Planning firm in Tunbridge Wells, serving clients in Sevenoaks, Tonbridge, Crowborough and beyond

Read about our ethos and meet the team

Since Gary set up his own company in 1991, we have grown to a current team of 6 and will look to continue to build the best team we can. Family owned businesses have certain nuances and Panoramic Wealth is not the first family business we have been involved in. The 1930’s saw a successful venture into the world of electronics through ‘Globe Radio’ which namely ties in with Panoramic, a decision that did not happen by chance when we had the opportunity to rename in 2015. The considerable experience we have from within a family business can only benefit our clients going forward.

Gary Jefferies Managing Director

I have enjoyed being involved within the Financial Planning Profession for over thirty years since setting up my own business in the 1990's which enabled me to help clients and firms fulfil their goals and aspirations.

Not only do I really love what we do, our goal is to look to ensure our clients enjoy the lifestyle they deserve as it is not just about the money.

The majority of our clients are owners of successful companies and partnerships where I advise the owners and next generations of the firms. Having come from a background of family owned businesses since the 1930’s I feel we have a greater empathy with family business by understanding the pressure that presents itself when running a firm.

Whilst my career has been solely within financial services, I was originally with major institutions of Norwich Union (now Aviva) then with Legal & General. This was before establishing and running an in-house Financial Service for a large regional, solicitor. Today we look after many trusts, several of which for over 20 years which is due to my involvement with the legal profession.

I have always been an advocate for professional financial services qualifications coupled with relevant experience in order to be able to truly advise clients. Not only am I a Chartered Financial Planner, a Certified Financial Planner and a Fellow of the Personal Society (FPFS) but I was also a Main Board Director for 6 years to the predecessor of the Personal Finance Society.

Outside of work I enjoy travelling, the theatre and golf in addition to following Wasps and Arsenal.

Ross Jefferies Financial Planner

In 2014, rather than go to University like many of my peers, I instead joined the family business where I am now responsible for providing all mortgage advice and for looking after our younger clients.

The reasoning behind specialising in Mortgage Advice was that most people will experience financial advice in any way, is when purchasing their first home. With this in mind, it made sense for me, who understands how tricky it can be to purchase a property at present. There is little better feeling than to get someone into their first property or into a dream house.

I sit on the committee for both The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment Young Professional Network and The Sevenoaks Next Generation Business Chamber. Both look to help young, aspiring professionals grow their network which aligns with what I am striving to achieve at Panoramic Wealth.

Last year I was named Chartered Insurance Institute - Tunbridge Wells Young Achiever of the Year for my involvement within Panoramic and for my work to help Young Professionals in and around Tunbridge Wells.

Despite working from our Tunbridge Wells based office, I now live in London which means I can get along to The Oval to catch the cricket. To counter the effects of the London social life I have recently been trying to get into the habit of dragging myself to the boxing gym.

Dominic Bowen Financial Planner

My career in financial services began in the late 1970s when I left school to join NPI in their Tunbridge Wells Head Office, initially working as a clerk. I didn’t know what I wanted to do at school and NPI gave me a good introduction to work, there was access to Sports clubs and the social life was good. I joined an Agency Inspector training programme and given my first area was in North Kent working with Financial Advisers promoting mainly pension plans. This training and experience with NPI was invaluable as I was approached by Scottish Widows and started with them in 1988 initially with an area in West Kent before joining Panoramic in 2018.

Although I am a qualified Financial Planner, my role at Panoramic concentrates on creating and strengthening our professional relationships as a company. Tunbridge Wells has such a vibrant business community and it is great to be a part of that.

As a very keen sportsman I have been a stalwart of Bells Yew Green Cricket Club, being 1st team captain for many years and still playing in their 2nd X1. I also help run their Junior section, and am involved in coaching and running teams. As well as this, I play golf regularly being a longstanding member of Nevill Golf Club with a handicap of 13.
I play and follow football and am a ‘long suffering’ Tottenham Hotspur supporter, alongisde supporting local team Tonbridge Angels and again watch games when time allows.

Ali Sayer Pension Technician

I suppose after 30 years in the industry I could be described as a financial services veteran! Having worked as both an employee benefits adviser and business support in previous roles, I have a wide-ranging knowledge that helps me to support the Panoramic financial advisers in all things non-advisory. I head up the admin team within Panoramic and have the additional responsibility for ensuring that our clients comply with their workplace pension duties. I like to consider myself as the friendly voice always willing to help clients in the absence of their adviser.

When not at work, I love to sew and be creative with fabric, a needle and thread. It’s not that different to financial services.... lots of pieces stitched together to give a final outcome.

Jill Jefferies Company Secretary

Having been married to Gary for over 25 years, I have been involved in the business throughout this time, and now taking on a more strategic role within the business.

More recently, as Panoramic has grown, I have been more focused on the HR side of things. To assist this I qualified as Assoc CIPD in 2019 which is something I am hugely proud of. Going back to study after 30 years was no mean feat!

I am the Operations Manager and enjoy this side of things, making sure the company runs smoothly. I also love event management for Panoramic in all its different guises, from networking events and golf days through to client specific events.

My previous experience was mainly in the legal world and the most rewarding and enjoyable was work for Ivor Montlake who sadly passed away in 2017. We worked together on several projects, but our passion was mainly for Wasps FC – where he was Honorary Secretary for many years, and he was on the Board of London Wasps (as it was then!) for many years. This led to my family becoming avid fans of Wasps and still follow them to this day.

On a personal level, I love sunny holidays, cooking, and rugby (watching not playing!) My next challenge is to learn Spanish.

Duncan Fry Chairman of Investment Committee

With 27 years’ experience of selling Investment Products for some of the leading Fund Management companies in the world I have not only acquired the appropriate qualifications but also an abundance of experience along the way.

As Chair of the Investment Committee at Panoramic Wealth, my approach to Investment Management starts with mindfulness to risk, understanding of markets, their processes and also global economics. This couples with the research of the funds available which bring the market to you.

Our approach to investment at Panoramic Wealth is predominately fundamental. However, ultimately there is a cyclical nature to most things stock market, and our regular investment meetings update our investment policy accordingly.
